With the strong likelihood of being "Herring'd" out after Iceland and Norway I have planned a "recovery" adventure. The South West Coastal Path in the UK certainly fits the bill ! With it's wildlife diversity, geology, history and stunning scenery the SW Path (according to Lonely Planet) grabs a place as one of globes 12 top long distance walks !
My aim is to finely balance Full English Breakfasts with a daily 20km haul that is likely to be broken with numerous photo stops if the unpredictable English weather allows ! This stunning walk tracks coastal as well as moorland regions as it works its way from Minehead in Somerset to the bottom of the UK and back up to Poole in Dorset.
As a taster I've chosen a 10 day trek from Minehead to the Cornish surf coast at Bude in what should be a stunning walk feast - this time though without porters !!
